A healthcare opportunity is available for a skilled Radiologic Technologist with expertise in CT imaging, based in Hamilton, CO. This contract position requires a commitment to quality, patient-centered care, and regulatory compliance in diagnostic radiology.
Responsibilities:
- Perform advanced imaging procedures in at least two modalities including CT, adhering to department protocols.
- Ensure patient safety by practicing radiation safety standards and confirming pregnancy status when applicable.
- Manage equipment quality control and troubleshoot technical issues, coordinating maintenance as needed.
- Provide patient education, obtain informed consents, and accurately document medical histories.
- Assist with clerical duties, patient transportation, and cross-train other imaging staff as directed.
- Handle emergent cases promptly, collaborating closely with Radiologists and ordering physicians.
- Maintain inventory supplies and submit all necessary documentation for diagnostic procedures.
- Support hospital staff as a positive, cooperative team member, including working overtime, holidays, and call shifts when required.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Registered in at least two imaging modalities such as ARRT Radiology (R), CT, MRI, Mammography, Sonography, or Nuclear Medicine.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or must obtain within 90 days.
- Prior experience as a technologist with at least two modalities preferred.
- Strong communication skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office; familiarity with PACS and RIS/HIS electronic systems.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while demonstrating initiative and productivity.
