A specialized opportunity is available for experienced CT/PET Technologists skilled in CT imaging to support orthopedic and trauma care. This contract position is based in High Point, NC, serving a dynamic healthcare facility focused on advanced orthopedic and trauma patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform high-quality CT and PET imaging with a focus on pre-op and post-op orthopedic patients, including total hip, knee, and shoulder replacements and repairs.
- Collaborate with orthopedic trauma teams to deliver precise diagnostic imaging for elective and trauma cases.
- Utilize Safe Patient Handling equipment and specialized orthopedic tools such as CPM, Knee Immobilizers, and Bone Foam.
- Operate within a high-acuity environment following strict protocols and use electronic health records systems (EPIC).
- Participate in rapid response teams and contribute to patient safety and care excellence.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of CT/PET technologist experience; first-time travelers will not be considered.
- Certified in BLS; ACLS certification preferred.
- Proficient use of EPIC or comparable electronic medical record systems.
- Demonstrated experience with orthopedic trauma patients and knowledge of orthopedic surgical procedures.
- Strong adherence to scheduling requirements with flexibility to work three 12-hour night shifts (7 PM – 7 AM) on an every-other-week basis, including holiday coverage.
- Commitment to a no-call, zero-tardiness attendance policy.
