CT Tech in Keaau, HI

A healthcare opportunity is available for an experienced Computed Tomography (CT) technologist to provide advanced imaging services in a hospital setting located in Keaau, HI. This contract position requires proven technical skills and the ability to work independently, ensuring high-quality patient care through precise imaging protocols.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

• Current State of Hawaii Radiologic Technologist license required before assignment start.
• Active American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification in Computed Tomography.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Minimum of two years of CT imaging experience in an acute hospital environment.
• Proficient in performing routine CT scans independently, adhering to radiologist protocols.
• Experience with Meditech EMR, Canon or Toshiba CT units, and Vitrea imaging workstations preferred.
• Skills in venipuncture, multiplanar reconstruction (MPR), maximum intensity projection (MIP), 3D imaging, as well as advanced procedures such as biopsies, drainages, vascular, cardiac, trauma, or stroke imaging considered a strong asset.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct CT scans in alignment with established protocols.
• Ensure patient safety and accurate image acquisition.
• Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals.
• Participate in a mandatory employee health appointment prior to assignment commencement.
• Adhere to facility infection control policies, including flu vaccination or approved exception documentation.

Schedule:

• Shift times may vary based on department needs; no on-call duties required.
