A healthcare opportunity is available for a knowledgeable and skilled CT imaging professional to support diagnostic services on a night shift schedule. This contract role demands an individual committed to delivering safe, high-quality imaging care while demonstrating technical expertise, strong communication, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify clinician orders and patient identity before procedures
- Obtain clinical history and monitor patient conditions throughout exams
- Perform a wide range of CT imaging procedures with accuracy and safety
- Administer contrast media following established protocols
- Adjust imaging techniques to minimize radiation dose while ensuring quality
- Maintain and disinfect imaging equipment in compliance with infection control standards
- Collaborate with physicians, technologists, and support staff in providing patient care
- Document procedures thoroughly and comply with quality control and regulatory standards
- Respond to emergencies and assist in stocking life support equipment
- Participate in ongoing training and maintain professional certification requirements
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Graduate from an accredited Radiologic Technology program
- Current ARRT Radiography (ARRT-R) and ARRT Computed Tomography (ARRT-CT) certifications
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (including instructor-level credentials if applicable)
- Minimum of one year of experience in radiology; CT experience preferred
- Exceptional communication skills to interact professionally with patients, physicians, and multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to function independently, prioritize tasks, and maintain composure in stressful situations
- Thorough understanding of anatomy, pathology, and radiation safety best practices
