An opportunity is available for a skilled CT Imaging Technologist to provide high-quality diagnostic imaging services during night shifts in Marietta, GA. This role requires a professional who is dependable, flexible with scheduling, and capable of independently managing technical procedures. You will play a vital part in ensuring accurate imaging results while delivering safe, patient-centered care in alignment with departmental protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify clinician orders and patient identification using two unique identifiers per policy.
- Prepare and position patients for CT scans, ensuring comfort, privacy, and dignity throughout the procedure.
- Operate CT equipment with competence, adjusting techniques to optimize image quality and minimize radiation exposure.
- Administer contrast medias safely, monitor patient conditions, and respond appropriately to emergencies.
- Perform and document quality control tests, maintain equipment cleanliness, and ensure operational readiness.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, technologists, and clinical staff, communicating clearly with patients and families.
- Complete accurate procedural documentation and comply with regulatory and organizational standards.
- Assist in training new staff and support departmental operations including supply restocking and patient transportation.
- Take call as necessary and fulfill duties in a professional, team-oriented manner.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
- ARRT certifications in Radiography (ARRT-R) and Computed Tomography (ARRT-CT) required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Minimum of 1 year radiology experience; CT experience preferred but less than 1 year acceptable.
- Strong communication skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of anatomy, pathology, radiation safety, and quality control procedures.
