A healthcare facility in Nine Mile Falls, WA seeks an experienced Radiologic Technologist skilled in Computed Tomography (CT) to perform a variety of diagnostic imaging procedures. This contract role involves working Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, providing general diagnostic, portable, bedside, and CT exams while adhering to radiation safety principles (ALARA). The ideal candidate demonstrates sound clinical judgment, superior imaging skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare teams.
Responsibilities include accurately reading requisitions, positioning patients using anatomical knowledge, performing CT and radiographic exams, reviewing image quality, ensuring correct billing, and maintaining equipment functionality. The technologist will also follow sterile techniques when handling contrast media, maintain patient confidentiality per HIPAA, and collaborate closely with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care.
Professional communication, teamwork, and continuous professional development are essential aspects of this role. The technologist will actively participate in staff meetings and educational activities to support performance improvement and maintain competencies.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Completion of an Accredited Radiologic Technology Program
- Minimum of three years’ experience in imaging with required CT expertise
- Current Washington State DOH Certified Radiologic Technologist license
- ARRT (R) certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
