A skilled Radiologic Technologist is sought for a contract position in Nine Mile Falls, WA, specializing in CT imaging alongside general diagnostic and portable radiography. This role involves performing high-quality radiographic and CT exams while minimizing radiation exposure for patients and staff by adhering to ALARA principles.
Shift Schedule:
- Monday and Friday: 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
- Saturday and Sunday: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
- 40 hours per week
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately review exam requisitions and patient histories to plan and execute imaging procedures.
- Position patients using knowledge of anatomy to ensure optimum image quality.
- Communicate effectively with patients of varying ages and mental status to explain procedures and ensure cooperation.
- Operate diagnostic, portable, and CT imaging equipment, including use of sterile techniques and contrast media preparation in compliance with protocols.
- Monitor patient condition during exams, taking appropriate immediate action when needed.
- Maintain proper documentation, billing accuracy, and quality assurance by reviewing images and repeating them if necessary.
- Collaborate with radiologists and referring providers to clarify and optimize exam orders.
- Follow radiation safety protocols, including use of personal protective equipment and radiation monitoring devices.
- Uphold patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
- Participate in continuous professional development, including staff meetings and competency assessments.
Qualifications:
- Graduation from an Accredited Radiologic Technology Program.
- Minimum three years of imaging experience with required expertise in CT.
- Current Washington State DOH Certified Radiologic Technologist license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- ARRT (R) registration.
