Schedule/Hours:
- Travel/contract basis with variable scheduling.
What You'll Do:
- Set up and monitor CT equipment, ensuring optimal operation and patient positioning using safe techniques.
- Obtain and review patient identification, medical history, and allergy status; ensure vital details are documented.
- Prepare and inject intravenous contrast media as required, adhering to radiologist protocols.
- Acquire and develop high-quality images for permanent patient records; manage electronic and digital image storage, transfer, and backup.
- Collaborate with work-room technicians to efficiently organize daily patient schedules.
- Monitor image quality through daily calibration/quality control; maintain department guidelines and oversee equipment repairs.
- Respond promptly to patient reactions or emergencies, providing basic CPR and ensuring adherence to all safety standards.
- Keep the work environment clean and maintain inventory of supplies.
- Instruct new staff and assist radiologists or other specialists during advanced procedures.
- Review and document supportive clinical data to aid radiologists in diagnosis.
- Uphold registry status per regulatory requirements and contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Advanced technical skills specifically in CT imaging.
- Licensed or certified as required by state regulations.
- Familiarity with safe patient handling, contrast protocols, and emergency procedures.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and commitment to patient-centered care.
