Perform advanced computed tomography procedures to produce high-quality diagnostic images that assist physicians in patient care. This role requires proficiency in CT imaging techniques, patient preparation, and operation of imaging equipment. Flexibility to work alternate shifts, weekends, holidays, and participate in call rotations is essential to maintain consistent, quality imaging services. Occasional overtime and schedule adjustments may be needed to support patient care demands.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute diagnostic CT procedures ensuring image accuracy and patient safety
  • Conduct radiographic, fluoroscopic, surgical, and portable radiography exams if assigned radiographer duties
  • Corroborate clinical history with imaging procedures, ensuring accurate documentation for radiologist review
  • Prepare and instruct patients to minimize anxiety and optimize imaging outcomes
  • Select and operate imaging devices and accessories for procedure completion
  • Position patients comfortably and safely, immobilize when necessary
  • Apply aseptic techniques and administer contrast media, including IV access management
  • Initiate basic life support interventions when needed
  • Educate patients regarding procedures and safety
  • Manage inventory and supplies, providing input for equipment decisions
  • Provide practical training to students and partners
  • Adhere to universal protocol, precautions, and patient identification standards
  • Uphold patient safety principles throughout procedures and transport

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Graduate of an accredited radiography program
  • Minimum of 2 years CT imaging experience
  • Registered with ARRT in Radiography and Computed Tomography
  • IEMA-DNS radiography accreditation
  • Approved CPR or BLS certification
