Echo Technician - Durham, North Carolina

This opportunity is seeking an experienced Echocardiography and Vascular Sonographer to provide expert imaging services on a 12-hour day shift in a busy healthcare setting. The assignment is a contract position based in Durham, NC, offering a chance to strengthen your skills in cardiac and vascular sonography with a focus on pediatric patients.

Responsibilities include performing high-quality echocardiograms and vascular ultrasounds, adhering to departmental protocols, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure exceptional patient care. The role requires flexibility to float to like units as needed and participate in a rotating weekend and holiday schedule.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Extensive experience in cardiac and vascular sonography, including pediatric cases
• Required certifications: RDCS and AHA BLS
• Strong proficiency in EPIC charting system preferred
• Ability to work resiliently and adapt to change
• Professional appearance with adherence to scrub color policies (red, black, gray, or white solids; no designs except for pediatric areas)
• Up-to-date COVID-19 vaccination and booster as required, with exemptions considered

Schedule:

• 12-hour day shifts, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
• Rotating weekends and holiday shifts
• No on-call or call-back responsibilities
