Echo Technician | Durham, North Carolina

An opportunity is available for a skilled Vascular Sonographer with expertise in cardiac and vascular sonography, including pediatric experience. This contract position offers a chance to work a 12-hour day shift from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., providing comprehensive vascular imaging services in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Current ARDMS RVT (Vascular) or RDCS (Echo) certification required
• Extensive experience in cardiac and vascular sonography, with pediatric experience essential
• AHA BLS certification mandatory
• Proficiency with EPIC charting system strongly preferred
• Demonstrated resilience and adaptability in a fast-paced healthcare setting
• Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively with patients and team members
• Travel experience is highly preferred

Schedule/Hours:

• 12-hour day shifts from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
• Rotating weekends and holiday coverage required
• No on-call or call-back duties
• Floating within like units as needed

Responsibilities:

• Perform high-quality vascular and cardiac ultrasound imaging, including pediatric cases
• Accurately document imaging findings using EPIC and other charting systems
• Adhere to infection control and safety protocols, including adherence to COVID-19 vaccination requirements (with exemptions as applicable)
• Collaborate closely with physicians and healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient care

Contract Details:

• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week
• Orientation week hours may vary; hours may be impacted by unit closures

Professional Appearance:

• Scrub colors limited to red, black, gray, or white solid colors without designs (exceptions in pediatric areas)
• T-shirts under scrub tops must be solid red, black, gray, or white; no hoodies or fleece jackets allowed
