An opportunity is available for a skilled Neurodiagnostic EEG/IOM Technologist experienced with EEG and intraoperative monitoring (IOM) to support neurodiagnostic services in a dynamic hospital setting. This 12-week contract position offers a highly structured schedule with guaranteed 40 hours per week and includes weekend and holiday rotations, ideal for professionals seeking consistent hours and a defined assignment.

Location
This role is based in Appleton, WI, with primary duties at a nearby campus in Neenah. The area offers a blend of urban amenities and scenic landscapes typical of northeastern Wisconsin, providing a balanced lifestyle with access to cultural, outdoor, and family-friendly activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform EEG, IOM, EP, and NCV testing, assisting physicians in diagnosing neurological conditions.
  • Manage clinical interventions and troubleshooting of neurodiagnostic equipment in inpatient and outpatient settings.
  • Maintain high standards in patient care, including clear communication and detailed documentation of observations and patient reactions.
  • Participate in charting and billing processes, with preference given to those familiar with Epic electronic health record systems.
  • Provide mentorship and technical training to junior neurodiagnostic staff and students.
  • Adhere to departmental guidelines for document management and equipment maintenance.

Qualifications and Desired Experience

  • Minimum of two years performing neurodiagnostic procedures independently, including EEG and IOM.
  • Registered EEG Technologist (R.EEG) and Certified Neurophysiologic Intraoperative Monitoring (CNIM) credentials required.
  • Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA BLSS) certification.
  • Associate degree or graduation from a CAAHEP-accredited Neurodiagnostic program.
  • Hospital experience preferred; ability to float to related local facilities as needed.
  • Willingness to work every weekend on a 10-hour shift schedule and participate in holiday rotations.

Additional Details

  • Shift schedule: 10-hour days (0730 –1800), Thursday through Sunday with on-call responsibilities Monday through Sunday.
  • Provisions for making up any missed shifts within two weeks.
  • Dress code aligned with hospital-issued scrubs, no strict color preference.
