A specialized opportunity is available for an experienced Electrophysiology (EP) Technician to contribute in an advanced EP lab environment. This contract role is based in Puyallup, WA, and involves supporting complex cardiac procedures such as ablations, atrial fibrillation, and atrial flutter interventions. Ideal candidates will have a thorough understanding of EP lab dynamics, capable of circulating and assisting clinical staff while supporting core team members with documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with electrophysiology studies and cardiac ablations, supporting physicians and nursing staff.
- Operate and maintain specialized imaging and EP equipment in a high-acuity setting.
- Provide sedation support and Phase 1 patient recovery assistance.
- Facilitate seamless workflow within a multidisciplinary team focused on advanced cardiac care.
- Ensure compliance with BLS, COVID protocols, and departmental standards throughout procedures.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in Cath and EP labs.
- Current RCES or RCIS certification is required.
- Demonstrated skills in sedation management and Phase 1 recovery; ICU or PACU background highly beneficial.
- Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records preferred.
- Strong knowledge of patient safety, infection control, and procedural documentation.
- BLS certification and adherence to COVID safety measures mandatory.
Schedule:
- 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts.
