Qualifications and Experience:

  • ARRT certification in Radiography and either MRI or IR, or both
  • Demonstrated experience as an Imaging IR Tech and MRI Tech in a clinical or hospital environment
  • Strong knowledge of safety protocols related to magnetic resonance and interventional radiology procedures
  • Ability to accurately position patients and operate imaging equipment
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Current BLS certification (required)
  • Familiarity with electronic medical record systems

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and position patients for both MRI and interventional radiology procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort
  • Operate MRI and IR imaging equipment, maintaining high-quality imaging standards
  • Assist physicians during interventional radiology procedures, providing critical technical support
  • Maintain accurate documentation and patient records in accordance with regulatory standards
  • Adhere to all infection control, safety, and quality assurance guidelines
  • Educate patients on procedure steps and answer questions to help ease anxieties
  • Collaborate effectively with radiologists, nurses, and administrative staff to deliver well-coordinated care
