An opportunity is available for a skilled Interventional Radiology Technologist to support diagnostic and invasive imaging procedures at a well-regarded healthcare facility in the Springfield area. This 13-week contract role involves full-time day shifts with a guaranteed 36 hours per week and requires strong clinical expertise in IR technology and patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform a variety of diagnostic and invasive imaging procedures across multiple anatomies and pathologies, ensuring optimal image quality and adherence to radiation safety guidelines.
  • Assist the care team during procedures by providing scrub support, operating essential patient care equipment including oxygen and suction devices, and recording images accurately.
  • Administer contrast materials safely after reviewing medication reconciliation for contraindications.
  • Monitor patients before, during, and after procedures, using appropriate immobilization and patient transfer techniques.
  • Operate special procedures imaging equipment proficiently in compliance with facility protocols.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support the unit’s function.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Advanced registry credentials such as CI, VI, RCIS, or ARRT (R) certification.
  • Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • Minimum of two years’ relevant experience in interventional radiology technology.
  • Ability to work day shifts, with occasional weekends and call as required.
  • Professional appearance, wearing black scrubs; no torn clothing or open-toed shoes permitted.

  • Flu vaccination or approved exemption required between November 1 and April 1.
