Location Overview:
Situated in Mechanicsville, VA, this medical center provides comprehensive care with a focus on team collaboration. The Interventional Radiology unit is known for its cutting-edge Discovery 740 IGS equipment and a dedicated staff that prioritizes patient care and professional growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform a variety of IR procedures including biopsies, drain insertions, angiograms, peripheral vascular interventions, paracenteses, and thoracentesis
• Assist with additional imaging services such as CT coronary scans, MRI monitoring, and myelograms
• Support line placement procedures as required
• Collaborate effectively with a team of RNs and schedulers in a fast-paced unit
• Participate in on-call rotations including nights and weekends

Required Qualifications and Experience:

• Experience in critical care and procedural areas essential
• Moderate sedation competency required
• Certifications: BLS and ACLS mandatory
• Preferred skills: PALS certification and Meditech EMR experience
• Demonstrated ability to work independently with a positive, team-oriented approach

Schedule and Work Details:

• Day shift staffing includes 3-4 techs and 3-4 RNs with call coverage on nights
• On-call requirement: 1-2 nights per week and one weekend every 4 to 5 weekends
• Scrubs provided; professional attire expected
