An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Interventional Radiology Technologist or Cath Lab RN/RTR to work in a high-acuity cardiac catheterization lab. This contract role is based in New Berlin, WI, offering the chance to contribute to advanced cardiac care in a Level III Trauma Center with comprehensive services, including stroke and NICU specialties.

Qualifications / Desired Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years of Cath Lab experience, including diagnostic and interventional procedures
  • Certification requirements:
    • RN: BLS, ACLS; NIHSS preferred
    • RTR: BLS, ACLS, WI license; RCIS preferred
  • Skilled in managing adult patients through complex cases such as STEMI/NSTEMI, valvuloplasty, cardiomems, atherectomies, staged PCI, and use of devices like IABP and Impella
  • Experience with peripheral diagnostic/interventional procedures and some hybrid cases preferred but not mandatory
  • RN candidates should be comfortable with conscious sedation and drip management
  • RTR candidates should be proficient in scrubbing and panning during cases

Responsibilities / Duties:

  • Support a fast-paced Cath Lab performing 24-40 cases daily
  • Maintain 1:1 patient ratios to ensure high-quality care
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including cardiologists, critical response teams, and respiratory therapists
  • Utilize EPIC for charting and manage various specialized equipment such as GE C-arms and hemodynamic monitors
  • Participate in orientation and adhere to fatigue policy limiting hours for safety

Schedule:

  • 8- and 12-hour shifts available, including a combination of both
  • Weekend call rotations approximately every 2-3 months
  • Call shifts typically from 12:00 pm to 8:30 pm with 30-minute response time

  • Contract position with a 1-week orientation period
