Apply NowA leading healthcare facility is seeking a skilled Interventional Radiology Technologist to support their Interventional Radiology Lab in a contract role based in Northwood, ND. This role offers a valuable opportunity to contribute your expertise within a dynamic Hybrid Operating Room environment, delivering high-quality patient care and advanced imaging services.
This position entails a 40-hour per week day shift schedule, with additional on-call responsibilities including 4 to 6 weekends and one night per week. The Interventional Radiology Technologist will be responsible for preparing exam rooms, ensuring accurate patient identification, and supporting physicians by administering contrast and completing procedure-related coding and documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain exam rooms before and after patient procedures, ensuring equipment and supplies are ready
- Verify patient identity according to strict standards and review patient history to support the care plan
- Administer contrast agents under physician direction and conduct pain assessments per clinical protocols
- Accurately code physician procedures and complete billing documentation using healthcare systems (e.g., Epic, PACS)
- Support departmental needs with tasks as assigned to optimize workflow and patient safety
Desired Qualifications:
- Active North Dakota Medical Imaging License issued by the state regulatory board
- Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) credential from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association
- Demonstrated knowledge of CPT coding, imaging technology, and patient care standards
