Mammography Tech in Coraopolis, PA

This opportunity suits a skilled Registered Mammographer with expertise in 3D Tomosynthesis, preferably with experience using Hologic Mammography equipment, to contribute to quality breast imaging services. Positions are available in outpatient settings located in Coraopolis, PA, with additional assignments in Harrisburg and Mechanicsburg.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct mammography procedures with precision, ensuring optimal breast compression, positioning, and use of special views to achieve the highest diagnostic quality.
• Perform correlative breast examinations; document scars, moles, and other significant findings accurately.
• Provide personalized breast self-examination guidance and stress the importance of annual clinical breast exams by qualified healthcare providers.
• Verify patient identity using two identifiers and follow universal protocols for safe and effective imaging procedures.
• Review patient histories and physician orders, applying department-specific protocols for data acquisition.
• Maintain electronic documentation of patient history and imaging results.
• Ensure equipment quality control through radioactive source calibration and safety adherence.
• Prioritize patient comfort and safety while communicating clear instructions to reduce anxiety and encourage cooperation.

Desired Qualifications:

• ARRT certification as a Radiologic Technologist and Mammography Technologist.
• Demonstrated experience with 3D Tomosynthesis and Hologic mammography systems.
• Knowledge of radioactive material safety protocols.
• Ability to operate electronic record systems; Epic experience preferred for select locations.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to support patient education and care.

Work Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (Coraopolis)
• Other shifts available from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in alternate locations.
