A healthcare facility in Craig, CO, is seeking a skilled Mammography Technologist to support their women's health imaging services on a contract basis. This role focuses on delivering high-quality mammography exams with patient care, education, and regulatory compliance at the forefront.
Key Responsibilities: • Operate and manage the daily functions of the mammography section, ensuring adherence to FDA and imaging department protocols. • Perform mammography exams using advanced imaging techniques and maintain quality assurance and preventative maintenance schedules. • Administer patient education, verify orders, review medical histories, and ensure accurate documentation in electronic health records. • Collaborate with radiologists for diagnostic interpretations and troubleshoot equipment issues independently. • Assist in cross-training colleagues, support additional imaging modalities as needed, and participate in departmental quality improvement initiatives. • Maintain supply inventory and assist with clerical and patient support duties when necessary. • Uphold strict confidentiality, safety, infection control, and organizational policies while fostering positive communication with patients and staff.
Qualifications: • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program. • ARRT registration in Radiology (R) and Mammography (M). • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or obtain within 90 days of hire. • Preferred experience includes at least two years as a Radiologic Technologist with cross-training in CT, MRI, or related modalities. • Familiarity with electronic medical records systems such as PACS and RIS/HIS. • Must meet legal work authorization, background check, and health screening requirements.
