A healthcare role is available for a skilled Mammography Technologist specializing in imaging with a focus on mammography procedures. This contract position offers the opportunity to work in the women's health section of radiology, providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services with an emphasis on patient care and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily operations within the women's health radiology section.
  • Conduct mammography exams according to established protocols and ensure radiation safety compliance.
  • Maintain detailed patient records, including medical histories and exam documentation in electronic health records.
  • Perform quality assurance, preventative maintenance, and troubleshoot imaging equipment as needed.
  • Assist with clerical duties, patient education, and support other imaging modalities when necessary.
  • Support continuous quality improvement initiatives and adhere to FDA and accreditation standards.
  • Participate in training, cross-training, and maintain certification requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with infection control and safety protocols.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program.
  • ARRT certification in Radiology (R) and Mammography (M).
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain within 90 days.
  • Ideally, two years of experience in radiologic imaging, including CT, MRI, or DEXA.
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records systems such as PACS and RIS/HIS.
