A dynamic opportunity exists for a skilled MRI technologist to provide advanced imaging services in a well-equipped hospital environment. This contract role is centered in Concord, NC, offering a unique chance to engage with diverse patient populations ranging from emergency department cases to outpatient imaging. Responsibilities include verifying imaging requests and collaborating with radiologists as needed, preparing and explaining procedures to patients, conducting thorough medical history interviews, and managing the complete imaging examination process from start to finish. The role involves performing MRI scans, administering IV contrast per protocol, evaluating image quality, and providing basic patient care to ensure safety and comfort. Working with state-of-the-art equipment like GE 1.5T SIGNA Artist and Siemens 3T Skyra MRI systems, along with EMR and RIS platforms (Epic and Philips iSite PACS), is an integral part of the position.
Desired Qualifications:
- ARRT (R), NMTCB, ARRT (MR), or ARMRIT certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Minimum one year MRI technologist experience
- Ability to work weekends and approximately 75% of holidays
- Willingness to engage with diverse patient needs including pediatric and cardiac imaging
Schedule & Work Requirements:
- Weekend position with a schedule cycle every four weeks
- No on-call duties, no floating requirements
- Manager approval required for return to office and additional scheduling
