A rewarding opportunity is available for an experienced MRI technologist seeking to advance their career in a dynamic healthcare environment. This contract position in Concord, NC offers the chance to work in a Trauma Level III teaching hospital known for its comprehensive imaging services, including MRI, X-Ray, CT, Ultrasound, Interventional Radiology, and Nuclear Medicine, supported by Radiology Nursing professionals.

Responsibilities include examining and verifying imaging requests, preparing and explaining procedures to patients, administering IV contrast per protocols, and evaluating the technical quality of images. You will care for a diverse patient population across emergency, inpatient, observation, and outpatient settings, including cases requiring anesthesia and pediatric imaging. Collaboration with radiologists and nursing personnel is a key part of the role to ensure patient safety and image accuracy.

Qualifications:

  • ARRT(R) or NMTCB, ARRT(MR), or ARMRIT certification
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Minimum of 1 year MRI experience (first-time travelers welcome)
  • Ability to review medical history and verify orders independently
  • Competent in contrast administration and patient care protocols

Schedule:

  • Weekend position with all weekends required
  • Travelers expected to work 75% of holidays
  • No on-call or floating duties
