A qualified MRI Technologist is needed to perform specialized MRI procedures under physician supervision, supporting accurate diagnosis through advanced imaging techniques. This contract opportunity requires a minimum of two years’ experience and offers a structured schedule in a well-equipped healthcare setting.

Location:
Situated in Hackensack, NJ, this position provides access to a vibrant urban area with diverse cultural amenities and convenient transportation options. Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday
  • 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM
  • Every 3rd weekend (Saturday and Sunday) obligation
  • No on-call duties

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and perform MRI procedures with 99% accuracy, adhering to departmental protocols.
  • Schedule patient exams efficiently to maintain a smooth workflow throughout shifts.
  • Prepare contrast media for examinations with 100% accuracy.
  • Process images within 30 minutes following examination completion.
  • Translate physician orders into precise technical procedures with at least 99% accuracy.
  • Maintain patient logs, records of equipment downtime, and charge patient exams as required.
  • Collaborate closely with radiologists to optimize imaging protocols.
  • Uphold safety, hygiene, and cleanliness standards within the work environment to ensure patient and staff safety.
  • Manage inventory and supply notifications with 95% accuracy.
  • Assist patients and families during stays, supporting a positive patient experience.
  • Cross-train and cover duties within the MRI department as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of MRI technologist experience.
  • Proven ability to deliver accurate imaging with attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage scheduling and documentation.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
