This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic acute care and long-term care medical center serving a critical access community. The role requires expertise in MRI, CT, and X-ray imaging, providing essential diagnostic services primarily for emergency room and outpatient cases. Your skills will be critical in supporting patient care with advanced imaging technology including Siemens 1.5T MRI and Philips X-ray equipment. The shift schedule is four 10-hour days, with weekend call coverage required.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Certification required in MRI, CT, and X-ray modalities (ARRT MR, ARRT R, ARMRIT)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Ability to provide on-call weekend coverage
  • Flexibility to float within qualifications to cover CT and X-ray needs
  • First-time technologists are welcome to apply
  • Experience with Epic charting is preferred

Location Details:
Located in Larsen Bay, Alaska, this facility is a Level IV Trauma center providing critical healthcare services in a remote, scenic coastal setting. The community offers a unique environment with access to outdoor activities and a close-knit healthcare team. Housing and transportation are included, featuring single-occupancy apartments and a rental vehicle for local travel within a 30-mile radius. Please note that pets and additional family members are generally not accommodated.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform MRI, CT, and X-ray imaging on ER and outpatient patients
  • Ensure quality imaging and patient safety during all procedures
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support diagnostic needs
  • Maintain clear and accurate documentation in Epic electronic health records
  • Participate in weekend on-call rotation and provide coverage as needed
