A healthcare facility in Lawrenceville, GA is seeking a skilled MRI Technologist for a contract role with day shift hours on Saturdays and Sundays, from 8:30 am to 7:00 pm. This position requires a dedicated professional capable of performing a wide range of MRI imaging procedures independently, demonstrating excellent judgment and technical expertise to ensure high-quality diagnostic studies.

Responsibilities include preparing and positioning patients, operating MRI equipment, administering contrast safely, ensuring image quality, and adhering to established protocols. The role demands coordination with physicians and the healthcare team, maintaining patient comfort and privacy, and complying with regulatory standards. Additional duties encompass equipment maintenance, patient education, documentation, and assisting colleagues as needed.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • Successful completion of an accredited MRI program with a minimum of 2 years of experience
  • Current certification as an ARMRIT MRI Technologist or ARRT-MR
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Strong knowledge of MRI procedures, patient positioning, pulse sequences, and magnet safety
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and staff
  • Capacity to operate independently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while maintaining professionalism
