An exciting opportunity is available for a skilled MRI Technologist to support advanced imaging services in a dynamic clinical setting. Key Responsibilities:
- Verify and assess imaging requests; clarify orders with Radiologists or providers as needed.
- Prepare patients for MRI procedures, ensuring thorough explanations and comfort throughout.
- Obtain detailed patient histories and review electronic medical records to inform imaging strategy.
- Conduct MRI exams independently, evaluate image quality, and collaborate with Radiologists on results.
- Administer IV contrast safely and according to protocols when required.
- Provide basic patient care, communicate changes promptly to nursing staff, and initiate life support if necessary.
- Adhere strictly to infection control and safety standards during all procedures.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Certified ARRT(R) or NMTCB, ARRT(MR), or ARMRIT credentials.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Minimum of 1 year MRI technologist experience; first-time travelers are encouraged to apply.
- Familiarity with imaging of neuro, cardiac, pediatric, and oncology patients preferred.
- Skilled in use of EMR (Epic), RIS (Epic Radiant), and PACS (Philips iSite) systems.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a multidisciplinary environment.
