An opportunity is available for an experienced MRI Technologist to support a well-equipped imaging department in Mooresville, NC. This contract role involves working closely with a multidisciplinary team in a busy hospital environment offering a broad range of diagnostic services including MRI, CT, Ultrasound, and Interventional Radiology.
Location Overview:

Key Responsibilities:
- Verify and confirm imaging orders, consulting with Radiologists or ordering providers as necessary.
- Prepare and position patients, explaining procedures to ensure comfort and compliance.
- Conduct MRI exams including patient interviews to gather complete medical histories.
- Administer IV contrast agents per protocols and document accordingly.
- Assess image quality and make necessary adjustments or consult specialists.
- Assist anesthesia and other medical personnel during MRI-related procedures.
- Adhere strictly to radiation safety and infection control guidelines.
- Maintain electronic records using departmental systems such as EPIC and Philips iSite.
Required Qualifications:
- ARRT (R) or NMTCB, ARRT (MR), or ARMRIT certification.
- Current BLS certification.
- Minimum of 1 year of MRI technologist experience, including patient care and image acquisition.
- Knowledge of MRI safety protocols and comfort working with diverse patient populations.
Schedule:
- Wednesday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 8:30 PM (12-hour day shifts).
- No call, but travelers will work approximately 75% of holidays.
This position is ideal for a first-time traveler willing to relocate or commute within a reasonable distance. Parking is available onsite at no cost, and staff will wear black scrubs.
