An opportunity is available for an experienced MRI Technologist skilled in magnetic resonance imaging to provide high-quality diagnostic imaging services. This contract position is located in New Orleans, LA, offering service at a major medical center known for its advanced imaging technology and patient-centered care. Candidates must have hands-on experience with Siemens MRI equipment and hold an active ARRT (MR) certification.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Registered with ARRT in Magnetic Resonance (MR)
  • Proven expertise working with Siemens MRI systems
  • Strong understanding of imaging protocols, patient safety, and quality control
  • Ability to work independently during night shifts
  • Excellent communication and patient care skills

Location: New Orleans is a vibrant city famous for its rich culture, music, and cuisine. It is also prone to hurricanes during the June-November season. Healthcare professionals choosing to work here should be prepared for potential emergency assignments during severe weather events, including the possibility of extended onsite duty or relief team participation as directed by management.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform MRI procedures following established protocols
  • Ensure patient comfort and safety throughout imaging exams
  • Maintain and operate Siemens MRI equipment effectively
  • Collaborate with radiologists and clinical staff for accurate imaging diagnostics
  • Participate in emergency teamwork during hurricane conditions, if required

Schedule:

  • Night shift: 3 shifts of 12 hours each (18:30 – 07:00), with varied start times including some 10-hour shifts beginning as late as 20:30
  • Work schedule includes 7 days on followed by 7 days off
