MRI Technologist - Portland, Texas

An opportunity is available for a Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Technologist committed to delivering high-quality imaging services within a hospital environment. This contract role involves performing a broad range of routine and advanced MRI procedures, supporting imaging staff, and facilitating efficient patient care. Responsibilities:

• Execute MRI examinations ensuring safety and quality in image acquisition and patient care
• Provide technical support including troubleshooting equipment issues and participating in quality assurance processes
• Facilitate smooth patient flow through effective scheduling and collaboration with healthcare teams
• Maintain compliance with all hospital policies as well as state and federal regulations
• Support colleagues and adapt to various shifts and locations as required
• Manage imaging data by properly scanning and archiving images in PACS, including downtime procedures
• Uphold confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technology program or equivalent
• Magnetic Resonance Imaging certification (ARRT or AMRIT) obtained or within one year of hire
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with PACS systems
• Minimum of 1 year hospital or clinical imaging experience preferred
• Current BLS certification (AHA) required

Work Schedule:

• 16-hour shifts on Saturdays and Sundays from 7 AM to 11 PM, with on-call responsibilities
