MRI Technician | Prospect, Kentucky

This role offers an exciting opportunity for an MRI technologist to provide expert imaging services in a dynamic clinical environment. The position supports a high-volume unit averaging 40 patients per day, with a strong focus on neurological cases including spine, stroke, and head trauma patients, as well as support for student athletes.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Minimum of 1 year acute MRI experience; first-time travelers are welcome.
• Certifications: BLS, ARRT (MR) or AMRIT required.
• Valid KY state license (unless grandfathered in).
• Proven ability to deliver excellent patient care with a positive, approachable demeanor.
• Familiarity with Siemens Sola and Verio MRI equipment.
• Experience using Cerner EMR is preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct MRI scans on a diverse patient population predominantly including neuro patients.
• Collaborate with radiologists, MRI tech colleagues, and tech assistants to ensure a smooth workflow.
• Work primarily the 8-hour evening shift from 2:30pm to 11:00pm, Monday through Friday.
• Adhere to unit-specific protocols and maintain high standards for patient safety and imaging quality.
• Participate in weekend rotations and holiday coverage based on unit needs.
• Complete a two-week orientation to become fully integrated into the department.
