A clinical opportunity is available for an experienced MRI Technologist specializing in advanced imaging modalities. The position is based in Salisbury, NC, and offers an engaging role within a well-equipped teaching hospital recognized for its trauma and specialized care services.
Responsibilities include conducting MRI exams with precision and professionalism, ensuring patient safety and comfort, and collaborating closely with radiologists to ensure high-quality diagnostic imaging. Candidates will prepare and administer IV contrast agents following established protocols, thoroughly interview patients for accurate medical histories, and maintain comprehensive documentation. The role serves Emergency, Inpatient, Observation, and Outpatient departments, managing complex case types including neurological deficits, stroke, and pediatric imaging with and without anesthesia.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum of 1-year MRI experience; first-time travelers are welcome.
- Certification required: ARRT(R) or NMTCB, ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- NC State Licensure is not required.
- Competency in patient care, imaging evaluation, and communication with healthcare team.
- Familiarity with EPIC, Epic Radiant, and Philips iSite systems preferred.
Schedule & Work Details:
- Weekend position with all weekends worked.
- Travelers will cover approximately 75% of holidays.
- No on-call or callback requirements.
- Shift hours vary; scheduling cycles every 4 weeks.
- Administrative and departmental onboarding provided.
This facility is a 457-bed Level III Trauma Center offering comprehensive radiology services including MRI, Interventional Radiology, Ultrasound, and Nuclear Medicine. The department supports a high patient volume with an average of 30-40 patients daily, including acute and complex cases.
