MRI Technologist - Salisbury, North Carolina

This opportunity is for an MRI Technologist skilled in imaging procedures, supporting a busy medical center with advanced radiology services. The position requires operating high-end MRI equipment including a GE 1.5T Signa and Siemens 3T Skyra to perform diagnostic imaging on diverse patient populations such as emergency, inpatient, outpatient, pediatric, and cardiac cases. Professional responsibility includes verifying imaging orders, preparing patients, administering IV contrast, and ensuring high-quality image acquisition in consultation with radiologists. Working knowledge of EPIC EMR and RIS (Epic Radiant) with Philips iSite PACS is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct MRI exams adhering to safety and imaging protocols
• Provide patient care including history interviews, preparation, and monitoring during procedures
• Administer and monitor IV contrast under departmental guidelines
• Evaluate image quality and collaborate with radiologists for diagnostic accuracy
• Follow infection control and safety procedures consistently
• Support pediatric imaging with assistance from Child Life Services when needed
• Document procedures and patient interactions accurately

Qualifications & Experience:

• ARRT (R) or NMTCB, ARRT (MR), or ARMRIT certification required
• Current BLS certification mandatory
• Minimum of 1 year MRI technologist experience preferred; first-time travelers considered
• No NC state licensure required
• Competence using EPIC EMR and radiology information systems

Schedule & Shift Details:

• 12-hour night shifts, 1900-0700, totaling 36 hours per week
• Weekend rotation as needed
• Travelers expected to work approximately 75% of holidays
• No on-call or call-back required
