This opportunity calls for a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to support diagnostic imaging services in a well-equipped nuclear medicine department. The role is on a contract basis and offers a dynamic environment where precision and patient care are paramount.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals for various diagnostic nuclear medicine scans.
  • Perform a range of procedures including cardiac imaging, Lexiscan, Adenosine, VQ scans, WBC scans, HIDA, MUGA, GI bleed studies, Octreo, MIBG, Y90, and Zephyr.
  • Operate and manage a 3 GE Camera department, including dedicated cardiac and SPECT imaging systems.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain high standards of patient care throughout all procedures.
  • Participate in weekend and on-call rotations as required.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Certification as CNMT, ARRT NM, or NMTCB is required.
  • IV certification and general nuclear medicine training from an accredited program are mandatory.
  • Experience with SPECT imaging and EKG certification are preferred and will be considered advantageous.
  • Current BLS certification is required.
  • Ability to work independently while demonstrating kindness and professionalism.

Schedule and Location:

  • Shifts are 8 hours, typically from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, or 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM depending on scheduling needs.
  • Position is based in a basement unit within the B Building of a hospital campus in Southern California.
  • Dress code includes hunter green scrubs.
