A healthcare facility in Owego, NY is seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join their team on a 13-week contract. This role involves operating advanced nuclear medicine imaging equipment to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. The position offers a consistent day shift schedule of 40 hours per week, working Monday through Friday.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Valid Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification (NMTCB or ARRT-N)
  • Current New York State licensure
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR certification
  • Proficiency with nuclear medicine imaging equipment including general GE Nuclear Medicine cameras, Biodex Dose Calibrator, EPIC, NMIS, and Xeleris systems
  • Strong attention to detail and patient care skills
  • Ability to comply with facility protocols and maintain accurate documentation

Responsibilities:

  • Perform nuclear medicine imaging procedures accurately and efficiently
  • Operate and maintain specialized imaging equipment
  • Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals under established protocols
  • Collaborate with radiologists and clinical staff to ensure quality diagnostic images
  • Maintain patient safety and comfort throughout procedures
  • Document procedures and results accurately in electronic health systems
