X-Ray Technologist - Arvada, CO

Perform essential radiographic procedures as a Radiologic Technologist to support accurate diagnosis and patient care. This role involves operating X-ray imaging equipment, preparing patients for examinations, and collaborating closely with radiologists and healthcare teams. Attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols are critical to maintain high-quality imaging and safeguard patients and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct diagnostic X-ray procedures efficiently and accurately.
• Operate all X-ray imaging and related equipment following established guidelines.
• Educate, position, and immobilize patients to acquire optimal images.
• Coordinate imaging exams to ensure timely and continuous patient care.
• Interpret provider imaging orders accurately and submit appropriate images for radiologist review.
• Evaluate image quality and take corrective measures as needed.
• Maintain clear communication with patients, coworkers, radiologists, and leadership.
• Manage department supplies, including utilization, charging, and maintenance.
• Adhere to sterile technique and infection prevention protocols.
• Administer contrast materials per radiologist protocols when required.
• Follow radiation safety measures (ALARA) at all times.
• Supervise and evaluate student radiographers during clinical practice.
• Safely transfer and handle patients during imaging procedures.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Certification and experience as a Radiologic Technologist.
• Proficiency with X-ray equipment and knowledge of radiation safety standards.
• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills and patient-focused approach.
• Experience supervising or mentoring radiography students is a plus.
