Radiology Technologist in Aurora, CO

A healthcare role is available for an experienced Radiologic Technologist specializing in diagnostic imaging procedures. This position involves performing X-ray exams in line with physician orders, ensuring high-quality imaging for accurate radiologic diagnosis while maintaining patient comfort and safety.

Responsibilities include operating all X-ray imaging and related equipment efficiently, positioning and immobilizing patients appropriately, and coordinating exams to maintain timely and continuous patient care. You will submit images and clinical information for radiologist interpretation and evaluate image quality to meet clinical standards. Maintaining open, clear communication with patients, radiologists, coworkers, and leadership is vital. Other duties include managing department supplies, practicing sterile techniques, adhering to infection prevention protocols, and ensuring radiation safety following ALARA guidelines. Additionally, supervising and evaluating student radiographers in a clinical setting is part of the role.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Proven experience performing diagnostic X-ray procedures
• Strong knowledge of radiologic equipment operation and safety protocols
• Ability to accurately follow imaging orders and protocols, including contrast administration
• Skilled at patient positioning, transfer, and immobilization with a focus on comfort and safety
• Excellent communication skills for collaboration with medical staff and patients
• Competence in sterile technique and infection control policies
• Capability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively
• Experience supervising and evaluating student radiographers preferred
