X-Ray Technologist - Detroit, MI

A Radiologic Technologist with specialization in invasive imaging procedures is sought for a contract opportunity in Detroit, MI. This role involves working under the direction of a Radiologist to perform complex diagnostic procedures that aid in evaluating pathological conditions. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with radiology imaging, sterile technique preparation, and patient assessment during invasive diagnostic exams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Explain examination procedures and prepare patients accordingly
• Gather and review patient medical history and clinical data
• Prepare and administer prescribed contrast media, medications, and IV solutions
• Set up and operate imaging equipment, physiological monitors, and sterile supplies
• Assist Radiologists throughout invasive imaging procedures, ensuring safety and quality
• Monitor patient condition before, during, and after procedures
• Manage and replenish sterile supplies and equipment inventory
• Perform image quality assurance and ensure compliance with radiation protection protocols
• Document procedures and patient information accurately in medical records and radiology information systems
• Utilize independent judgment for imaging techniques and positioning to optimize diagnostic outcomes
• May provide guidance or training to new staff or students in the department
