A Radiology Technologist position is available for a contract assignment in Monroe, NC, offering a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic Level I Trauma and Level I Pediatric Trauma teaching hospital setting. This role will place you in a fast-paced environment supporting adult and pediatric patients through a full spectrum of radiology exams, including those from emergency, ICU, nursing units, and outpatient departments. This contract role suits candidates with a minimum of one year of experience in radiologic technology and a desire to engage with a diverse team committed to high clinical standards.
Responsibilities include performing imaging procedures utilizing equipment such as Shimadzu RadSpeed, Intelli-C multipurpose units, Konica and Shimadzu portable devices, and GE and Siemens R/F rooms. You will work primarily on the 12-hour night shift (6:30 pm – 7:00 am) from Friday to Sunday, adhering to a fair rotation for on-call coverage alongside full-time, part-time, PRN, and traveler staff. Holiday coverage is also expected unless approved in advance. Orientation includes a comprehensive departmental and facility tour with a flexible five-day departmental introduction.
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- ARRT Registered Technologist certification
- BLS certification
- Proven ability to manage high patient acuity in a fast-paced clinical setting
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative, helpful attitude
- Experience or comfort with EMR systems, specifically EPIC
- Ability to work without floating outside assigned shifts
