A healthcare professional is needed to perform specialized imaging procedures under the direction of a Radiologist. This role focuses on assisting with complex diagnostic invasive radiology exams that evaluate pathological conditions as ordered by physicians.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients for examinations by explaining procedures and collecting relevant medical history
- Administer contrast media, medications, and IV solutions as prescribed
- Set up and operate imaging equipment, sterile tools, and physiological monitors in compliance with protocols
- Assist Radiologists during invasive procedures ensuring patient safety and procedure accuracy
- Maintain adequate supplies, replenish as needed, and ensure proper storage
- Apply radiation protection principles to minimize exposure dose and optimize image quality
- Manage image acquisition, quality control, and digital storage in PACS and RIS systems
- Document procedures and clinical data accurately in medical records and radiology information systems
- Participate in training and supporting junior staff or students as assigned
- Demonstrate professionalism, effective communication, and adherence to quality and safety standards throughout all duties
Desired Qualifications:
- Certification or licensure as a Radiologic Technologist with demonstrated experience in invasive imaging techniques
- Strong knowledge of radiation safety and contrast administration
- Familiarity with PACS and RIS systems for imaging and record management
- Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team and maintain attention to detail under pressure
- Excellent interpersonal skills to provide patient education and support during procedures
