Apply NowA healthcare facility in Sterling Heights, MI, is seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist for a 13-week contract position with a focus on providing expert imaging services. This role offers a valuable opportunity to work in high-acuity settings such as the Emergency Room (ER) or Operating Room (OR), performing a variety of radiologic procedures including portable X-rays for patients of all ages—from young children to geriatric patients.
Responsibilities:
- Perform radiologic imaging primarily in the ER or OR as assigned
- Conduct portable X-ray procedures for diverse patient populations
- Maintain adherence to safety protocols and quality imaging standards
- Collaborate with medical team members including managers, supervisors, and lead technologists
- Work assigned shifts: midnights from 6:30 pm to 7:00 am, Monday through Friday with every other weekend rotation
- No on-call or block scheduling required
Qualifications and Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Certification by ARRT-R required
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist
- Trauma level I or II experience in the OR is essential
- Familiarity with imaging technologies such as GE, Carestream, and OEC C-Arms
- Continuing education hours as per licensing requirements
