Perform radiologic procedures under the guidance of a Radiologist to evaluate pathological conditions, ensuring patient safety and high-quality imaging. This contract opportunity is based in Sterling Heights, MI, offering a chance to apply your expertise in radiology within a reputable healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and explain imaging procedures to patients, ensuring comfort and clear communication.
  • Review physician orders and clinical data to select appropriate radiographic techniques.
  • Set up and maintain imaging equipment and procedure rooms, managing supplies and ensuring infection control standards.
  • Perform diagnostic radiologic examinations, applying patient immobilization and radiation safety principles.
  • Administer intravenous contrast media when required, monitoring patients and managing any reactions promptly.
  • Accurately document patient information, imaging details, and complete all necessary record-keeping in the Radiology Information System (RIS) and Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS).
  • Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team, demonstrating professionalism, timely communication, and adherence to protocols.
  • Mentor new hires and students as needed while maintaining personal clinical responsibilities.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Certification as a Radiologic Technologist or X-ray Technologist.
  • Proficient knowledge of radiographic techniques and radiation safety procedures.
  • Experience using RIS and PACS systems for imaging workflow and documentation.
  • Strong patient care skills and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse patient populations.
  • Ability to work independently and maintain high standards of accuracy and professionalism.
