Perform radiologic procedures under the guidance of a Radiologist to evaluate pathological conditions, ensuring patient safety and high-quality imaging. Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and explain imaging procedures to patients, ensuring comfort and clear communication.
- Review physician orders and clinical data to select appropriate radiographic techniques.
- Set up and maintain imaging equipment and procedure rooms, managing supplies and ensuring infection control standards.
- Perform diagnostic radiologic examinations, applying patient immobilization and radiation safety principles.
- Administer intravenous contrast media when required, monitoring patients and managing any reactions promptly.
- Accurately document patient information, imaging details, and complete all necessary record-keeping in the Radiology Information System (RIS) and Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS).
- Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team, demonstrating professionalism, timely communication, and adherence to protocols.
- Mentor new hires and students as needed while maintaining personal clinical responsibilities.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Certification as a Radiologic Technologist or X-ray Technologist.
- Proficient knowledge of radiographic techniques and radiation safety procedures.
- Experience using RIS and PACS systems for imaging workflow and documentation.
- Strong patient care skills and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse patient populations.
