X-Ray Technologist - Warren, MI

A specialized opportunity is available for a skilled Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging procedures under the direction of a Radiologist. This role involves a comprehensive range of radiologic services aimed at evaluating pathological conditions as ordered by physicians. The ideal candidate exercises independent judgment to determine appropriate techniques, positioning, and safety practices to ensure diagnostic accuracy and patient safety.

Responsibilities include preparing patients and explaining examination procedures, reviewing clinical data, and performing radiologic exams. The technologist is responsible for equipment setup, patient immobilization, administering intravenous contrast when needed, and monitoring patients for reactions. Adhering to radiation protection principles and infection control protocols is essential. Additional duties involve documentation in medical records and radiology information systems, managing imaging quality control via PACS, and educating new hires or students as required.

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

• Certification and licensure as a Radiologic Technologist
• Proficiency in standard and advanced radiologic imaging techniques
• Knowledge of intravenous contrast administration and patient monitoring
• Strong understanding of radiation safety and ALARA principles
• Experience with PACS and Radiology Information Systems (RIS)
• Excellent communication and patient care skills
