Austell, GA – Night Shift Ultrasound Technologist (Contract)

An opportunity is available for an experienced Ultrasound Technologist skilled in general ultrasound imaging techniques to provide exceptional diagnostic services during night hours. This contract position requires flexibility, reliability, and the ability to deliver safe, high-quality imaging while maintaining patient comfort and privacy.

Responsibilities: • Perform a full range of ultrasound exams independently, ensuring adherence to department protocols. • Verify clinician orders and patient identity with two unique identifiers. • Obtain clinical history and assess for contraindications prior to exams. • Position patients and operate ultrasound equipment to produce diagnostically acceptable images. • Review images for quality and submit studies to PACS following established procedures. • Maintain equipment cleanliness, calibration, and quality control logs. • Follow sterile techniques and assist with emergency situations as needed. • Communicate clearly with patients and families, explaining procedures and addressing concerns. • Collaborate with physicians and technologists across modalities. • Document all findings accurately and complete departmental tasks, including patient charging and supply restocking. • Comply with all relevant policies, standards, and infection control guidelines. • Take call and fulfill additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience: • High school diploma or equivalent; Diagnostic Medical Sonography degree preferred. • ARDMS or ARRT-S certification required upon hire. • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. • Completion of an accredited Sonography Training Program. • Minimum one year of clinical sonography experience preferred. • Strong knowledge of anatomy, pathology, and ultrasound imaging principles. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to multitask and work under pressure. • Dependable, cooperative, and able to function both independently and as part of a team.

Shift: • Night shift – Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM.
