A specialized opportunity is available for an experienced Ultrasound Technologist focused on high-risk obstetrics within an outpatient Maternal Fetal Medicine clinic located in Charlotte, NC. This contract role offers the chance to work with complex maternal-fetal cases, including multiple gestations and fetal anomalies, in a supportive and well-equipped environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform detailed ultrasound examinations on high-risk OBGYN patients, averaging 6-7 scans per day.
- Obtain critical imaging assessments such as nuchal translucency during first trimester scans and Doppler studies of umbilical artery and middle cerebral artery.
- Conduct fetal heart screenings, including 4-chamber heart, LVOT, RVOT, aortic arch, ductal arch, SVC-IVC, and 3 vessel view.
- Work independently while collaborating closely with MFM doctors, Advanced Practice Providers, nurses, sonographers, and other clinical staff.
- Utilize advanced ultrasound technology, including GE US machines (E8 and Expert 22), and document findings accurately in EPIC and ASOBGYN EMR systems.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year as an Ultrasound Technologist with a focus on OB imaging.
- ARDMS OB certification is required; Fetal Echo certification preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Prior experience with high-risk obstetrics, including complex fetal assessments.
- Ability to work autonomously and manage a specialized patient load effectively.
- NC state licensure is not required for this position.
