A healthcare opportunity is available for an experienced Ultrasound Technologist/Sonographer to support diagnostic imaging services. The role involves performing ultrasound exams on patients across various demographics, ensuring high-quality diagnostic images in accordance with departmental protocols and safety standards.
Key responsibilities include verifying clinician orders, obtaining complete clinical histories, positioning patients correctly, and operating ultrasound equipment independently. The technologist will also ensure patient comfort and privacy, address concerns, and collaborate with healthcare teams. The role requires critical thinking to recognize situations necessitating physician intervention and strict adherence to infection control and regulatory standards.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Successful completion of an accredited Sonography Training Program; Diagnostic Medical Sonography credential preferred
- ARDMS (Registered Medical Sonographer) or ARRT Sonography certification required upon hire
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Minimum of 1 year clinical experience preferred
- Excellent communication skills for interaction with patients, physicians, and staff
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Demonstrates professionalism, dependability, and accountability
- Proficient in patient positioning, ultrasound anatomy, and pathology affecting imaging quality
Schedule and Location:
- Night shift: Friday, Saturday, Sunday, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- Position based in Marietta, GA, a vibrant suburb located northwest of Atlanta, known for its rich history, welcoming community, and access to various recreational and cultural amenities
