Ultrasound Technologist in Port Lavaca, TX

An opportunity is available for a skilled sonographer specializing in general ultrasound imaging, with experience in pediatric, obstetric, vascular, and general ultrasound procedures. This contract position in Port Lavaca, TX allows for immediate start and offers a rewarding schedule and work environment.

Location
Port Lavaca is a charming coastal community located along the Texas Gulf Coast. Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ARDMS) credential required
• Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through AHA or ARC
• Proven experience in pediatric, obstetric, vascular, and general ultrasound imaging
• Familiarity with EMR systems such as MEDHOST and CARESTREAM preferred
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility

Schedule:

• Days, Monday through Thursday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Weekly call rotation, including call every 4th weekend
• No 48-hour shifts or block scheduling
• Maximum request time off of 3 days

Responsibilities:

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound imaging accurately and efficiently in various specialties
• Manage patient caseload of approximately 8-10 per 12-hour shift
• Adhere to all safety and quality protocols in imaging procedures
• Collaborate with healthcare teams using electronic medical records for patient documentation
