An opportunity is available for an experienced Ultrasound Technologist specializing in vascular ultrasound imaging within a dynamic emergency department setting. This contract role is situated in Gastonia, NC, and involves working at a facility with an 18-bed free-standing emergency department that operates around the clock, providing advanced imaging services including X-ray, CT, and ultrasound.

Work Schedule:

  • Monday: 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM
  • Friday: 2:00 PM – 11:00 PM
  • Saturday & Sunday: 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM
  • Rotating schedule with weekend and holiday coverage; expect to work approximately 75% of holidays
  • On-call and call-back responsibilities required
  • Split assignment between two outpatient locations

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform general, vascular, gynecological, and procedural ultrasound imaging for emergency and outpatient cases
  • Utilize advanced imaging technology including Siemens Sequoia and Toshiba Yario 200 ultrasound machines
  • Document studies accurately using EPIC EMR, Epic Radiant RIS, and Philips iSite PACS systems
  • Collaborate with department leadership and support staff to ensure high-quality patient care

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years ultrasound experience required; first-time travelers are welcome
  • Certification by ARDMS or ARRT (S) necessary
  • Current BLS certification
  • Proven skills in vascular, gynecological, and procedural ultrasound imaging
  • Familiarity with EPIC EMR and associated radiology information systems preferred
