An opening opportunity is available for a skilled Ultrasound Technologist/Sonographer specializing in general and vascular ultrasound imaging. This contract role requires a dedicated professional with ARDMS certification and BLS credentials, capable of working independently and communicating effectively within a dynamic clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform ultrasound imaging procedures under the guidance of a Radiologist, adhering to protocol for evaluating patient conditions.
- Explain examination procedures and prepare patients for imaging studies, ensuring comfort and understanding.
- Operate ultrasound equipment, perform vascular and general ultrasound exams, and apply positioning techniques for accurate diagnostic outcomes.
- Maintain procedure room readiness and replenish supplies consistently.
- Monitor patient status, administer contrast media when required, and respond promptly to adverse reactions.
- Follow radiation safety and infection control practices rigorously.
- Complete documentation, manage imaging data entry in PACS and RIS systems, and support billing and clinical record accuracy.
- Assist in training new team members and students as needed.
- Exhibit professional behavior including clear communication, positive attitude, and respect within the multidisciplinary team.
Qualifications and Desired Experience
- ARDMS certification and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Proficient in general and vascular ultrasound techniques.
- Strong communication skills and self-motivated ability to multitask in a hospital setting.
- Experience with patient care in inpatient, outpatient, and emergency room contexts is beneficial.
- Familiarity with PACS and RIS systems preferred.
Schedule and Commitment
- Variable shifts including days, afternoons, and some weekends.
- Options include Monday through Friday shifts and weekend assignments.
- Flexible scheduling with possible 6-week schedule rotations.
- Position duration is approximately a 13-week contract, with consideration given to 8- or 10-week engagements.
- Hours are not guaranteed and will be assigned based on patient and department needs.
