Inpatient IV Pharmacist- New Orleans, LA

Our client is seeking highly skilled and dedicated Inpatient/IV Pharmacists to join their dynamic team. They are committed to providing exceptional care to our patients and are looking for individuals who share their passion for excellence. The successful candidates will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and effective delivery of pharmaceutical services to our inpatient population.

Requirements:

1. COVID CARD REQUIRED: Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, all applicants must provide proof of vaccination.
2. Duration: 13 weeks
3. Shift: 2:30 pm - 11:00 pm, rotating weekends

Key Responsibilities:

1. Inpatient/IV Pharmacists will be responsible for providing care to patients admitted to our hospital.
2. Prepare and dispense medications accurately and efficiently, ensuring adherence to established policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines.
3. Collaborate with healthcare professionals, including physicians and nurses, to optimize medication therapy outcomes.
4. Monitor patients' medication regimens for appropriateness, safety, and efficacy.
5. Conduct medication reconciliation and provide patient counseling as needed.

Qualifications:

1. A minimum of 1 year of recent inpatient and hands-on IV-making experience is required.
2. Flexibility to assist in other areas of the pharmacy as needed.
3. Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
4. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
5. Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Knowledge and experience with EPIC electronic medical record system.
7. Familiarity with Omnicell medication cabinets is preferred.
